Star3 Karaoke  First of all, you'll need a kareoke player to run *.st3 and *.kar files on this page. Star3 karaoke, a program you can find on my page, is an old but also a good player. It supports both formats. You can play songs, record the songs simultaneously if you have a microphone, you can change the lyrics, rhythm and tempo if you wish so, you can even transpose the songs to fit your voice, put a picture in the background and change the formats of lyrics and enjoy yourself... It used to work perfectly on my 8 Mb. Ram Pentium 75 at the Dark Ages of Internet. All you have to do is to have a sound card... If the sound is metalic, it's a strong possibility that you use the wrong midi-driver , as all kareoke files are in fact midi files which include lyrics in it. In that case, click on properities of STAR3 and try each midi-standard supported by your computer. If it won't work still, then this means that there is no wave-table on your sound card; then you can use WinGroove instead. This program, as a software, works like a wave-table (128 instrument and 10 drum-set). You'll soon realise the increase of sound quality (but as you know, you'll need 32 Mb Ram, at least, to run WinGroove properly !)
